The third annual Holiday Cheers starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 17. That evening, guests will enjoy a quaint evening in a festive holiday environment. Food will be provided by The Sinking Ship, coffee from Tinker Coffee Co., desserts from Sunrise Bakery, wine and spirits from Cardinal Spirits and a host of other Indiana providers and craft beers from Scarlet Lane Brewery, Taxman Brewing Co. and Triton Brewing Co. Smoking Goose will serve sausage samples.

Throughout the night, which runs until 10 p.m., guests may tour the Gingerbread Village at Conner Prairie that features dozens of gingerbread house creations by local professionals and amateurs before setting off and touring our historic grounds by candlelight.

More than two years in the making, a new book written by the visionary who led Conner Prairie’s transformation from a traditional living history museum into an interactive history park is now available.

duoAuthored by retiring President and CEO Ellen M. Rosenthal and featuring the photography of Thomas M. Mueller, “Conner Prairie” takes a look back at the museum’s history and shares the significance of its programs and events offered to more than 360,000 visitors annually.
